New street trees in Normanville Council has begun planting street trees along sections of Main Road Normanville, signalling an about-face on its intention to re-consult on future streetscaping proposals.
Council proposes Destination Plan The Yankalilla Council has announced it is embarking on the development of a Destination Management Plan for the Fleurieu Coast region. Council is consulting with business operators on what could be done to enhance the visitor experience for tourists in the local area.
FWC launches video panel A new video library is now live on Fleurieu West Connect featuring short positive videos about the local area.
FWBA focus on tourism The Fleurieu West Business Association (FWBA) will lead a group of local business people that will consider the expected increase in Chinese tourist visitation to the local area. The increase in tourist numbers is predicted to result from the establishment of the Nan Hai Pu Tuo Temple

Lions donate $100,000 for 100 projects
To mark Lions Club International’s centennial, the Lions Club of Yankalilla & District have signed on to help Lions Australia give away more than $100,000 to over 100 local projects as part of its Community 100 program.
The $100,000 will be available in the form of $1000 grants to projects which make a difference to the community in the fields of youth, vision, hunger or the environment.
